FC Barcelona defender; Umtiti promised to convince Griezmann to come

Samuel Umtiti has promised to try and convince his France team mate Antoine Griezmann to join him at Camp Nou if there is a chance of landing Atletico Madrid star forward.

Umtiti arrived at Barcelona in the summer of 2016 from Lyon FC and has quickly established himself as a regular player at the heart of Catalans’ defense.

 That form has also seen him break into the France team, where alongside Griezmann the youngster helped Les Bleus clinch a place at the 2018 world cup.

However, with Griezmann’s Atletico Madrid struggling to reach the height of previous seasons, Umtiti believes he would be a fine addition to the Blaugrana squad.

By now, we have already seen what he can do at Atletico, he is a world class player, the 23-year old signaled in an interview with Ara.

If there is any slight opportunity to sign him I will advise him not to hesitate and join Barcelona.
